On our way! Once again Webber PBL has shown that academically our education from Webber International University prepares us well. Seven students traveled to Orlando March 22nd-24th to compete at the Florida Φβλ State Leadership Conference. Many college students were competing for academic awards in events which consisted of written examinations, case analysis presentations, and skill examinations covering topics ranging from Retail Management, Cyber security, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality Management, Global Business, Sports Management and Public Speaking. Our students from Webber International University competed with students from schools all over the great state of Florida.  Four of the seven students from Webber scored well enough to get a spot on stage during the award ceremonies. Andrea Nicolle Miranda Ortiz earned 1st place for her performance in the Public Speaking event. Anthony Branca placed 2nd in the Hospitality Management exam and case analysisBrandon Zayhowski  demonstrated his skills in the Computer Applications event and earned 2nd place. Lastly, Joyce Caba placed 5th in the Impromptu Speaking event. Based on their placements at the State competition, Andrea, Brandon, and Anthony now qualify for Φβλ 2018 National Leadership Conference which is being held in Baltimore, Maryland June 22nd-27th.
