The 2018 College Ethics Symposium

Once again, Webber was privileged to be able to take students to the annual College Ethics Symposium in Hilton Head, SC (www.ethicssymposium.org). October 18th-20th, four seniors and one staff member traveled to South Carolina to join numerous other colleges and universities for discussions and events centered around the idea of learning how to make ethical decisions. The students in attendance were Brianna Fuller, Czeslaw Mamos, Sean Price, and Lauren Snipes. These students were chosen based on GPA, faculty recommendations, and their letter of interest.

In addition, this event allows students and staff to stay with host families who generously provide housing and food. The Webber students were also able to enjoy time spent with students from our branch campus, St. Andrews University, which is located in Laurinburg, NC (www.sa.edu). Webber is honored to attend this wonderful event and we look forward to next year!

“Last week provided me with an unparalleled opportunity to learn and understand how a strong code of ethics can add value to a business. Also, as an international student, I found the opportunity to network and gain new contact very valuable because of the advice I received and the opportunity to raise my profile.” – Czeslaw Mamos

“I had a great time at the Ethics Symposium and I got to meet a lot of new people and gain friends. Not only was the Ethics Symposium fantastic, but I also really enjoyed the host family. They definitely made us feel at home and they had some great insight on different aspects of life. I would recommend anyone go if given the opportunity.” – Brianna Fuller
