Transfer students are those with 15 or more completed college level credit hours.

Students transferring from foreign universities:

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

  1. Application
    Submit the International Application for Admissions either online or by submitting the paper copy. There is a $75 non-refundable application fee that must be paid with the application.Apply Here
  2. Essay
    Submit a personal essay concerning one of the following subjects: academic goals, career aspirations, or a topic of special interest to you.
  3. Information Release Form
    Family or friends helping you with the admissions process? Make sure you submit the Information Release Form listing their names. We are not allowed to release any of your personal information to third parties without your consent.Information Release Form
  4. Transcript
    Send your Official University Transcripts in the original language from all institutions attended and an English translation (if the original is not in English) via post mail. For the transcript to be official it needs to have the original stamp/seal/signature from the university and be placed in a closed school envelop with a seal across the flap. Photocopies will not be accepted.Regular Mail

    *Transcripts received by Webber International University become the property of WIU and will not be returned to the applicant or forwarded to any other institution. Please do not send us your original transcript/diploma if you have no other copies.

     

  5. Foreign Credential Evaluation
    Submit a foreign credential evaluation of your foreign university transcript in order to receive transfer credit at Webber. We advise students to use World Education Services but evaluations from other companies will be accepted as well at the discretion of the admissions office.World Education Services Website
  6. Proof of English Proficiency
    Submit proof of English proficiency such as TOEFL (school code 5893), IELTS, or completion of English as a Second Language program. The English proficiency requirement is only for students whose first language is not English. A student, who has studied in a school where all courses are instructed in the English language, may request waiver of the English proficiency requirement. Substitutes for the tests listed above may be accepted after evaluation by the admissions office.TOEFL on ETS Website
  7. Student Visa
    International Students studying in the U.S. are required to obtain an F-1 student visa prior to their arrival to the U.S. using the form I-20. Webber will issue the form I-20 once an international student has accepted and has submitted the Certification of Financial Responsibility along with proof of financial funds.View Student Visa Process

  5. Transfer Clearance Form
    Have the Transfer Clearance Form completed by the last college/university attended. This Webber specific form is used to determine good academic, disciplinary, and financial standing at your previous institution. The form should be completed by the Dean of Students or whoever is in charge of disciplinary action. The form can be returned the following ways:

    Have the Visa Transfer Form completed by the international student advisor at your current university. As a student transferring from a U.S. university you need to submit information regarding your visa status from your current school. Once you are accepted to Webber, you also need to ask your school to release your electronic SEVIS record to us.Visa Transfer Form

TRANSFER POLICY

Once you have submitted your application, application fee, official transcripts, and foreign credential evaluation you will receive a transfer evaluation. The evaluation details the transferred courses, credit hours accepted towards your degree and which courses are still required to complete your degree at Webber.
