LIVE THE EXPERIENCE

The goal of the Student Life Office is to ensure that every single student has an amazing University experience! The University experience is a unique period of your life when you grow in so many ways, have so many different adventures, and create memories to last a lifetime. It is when you develop ideas and beliefs and gain a deeper sense of self.

It is a time to have fun…
A time to interact with fellow students from other countries and other parts of USA
A time to learn about others
A time to develop lifelong friendships and
A time to fulfill academic and sporting goals.

Webber International University is a tightly knit University with a big heart and a revered tradition in Business Education. It is easy to get to know everyone, and within a short period of time, staff, faculty and fellow students will know your name. You are certainly not just a number at WIU. You are valued as a person, as a student, and as a unique citizen of the world. Many a career has been launched because of the long lasting personal links that have formed during graduates’ University years.

We, in Student Life want to ensure that you Live the Experience!

Student Activities

We provide a wide variety of events both on and off campus to enhance your University experience.

Our Beach Party is always a huge success with an actual Caribbean Band pumping out music and our island style décor. As is our visit to Universal Studios for Halloween Horror Night. Everyone benefits from a huge discount on tickets and there are many “chilling” experiences to be had.

There are no classes at WIU on Wednesdays so there are really TWO “Friday” nights every week! On many a Tuesday night there is a big party on Campus with a DJ playing popular music. This is ALWAYS a fun night with lots of dancing and socializing. For Bowling Fans there is Bowling Night – free – from 10 pm to 2 am at the Cypress Bowling Alley in one of our neighboring towns, Winter Haven.

Some other activities are Wacky Wednesday where students can “Dunk a Professor,” and other summer fun events. Weekly Movie Nights and Movie Nights Under the Stars, where pizza and sodas are available are always very popular. Pictionary…Glow Parties…Halo Tournaments..Karaoke Idol are just a few of the many events put on by Student Life each semester at Webber for the enjoyment of our student body.

Just FUN FUN FUN and MORE FUN!

Constitution Day

On May 24, 2005, the U.S. Department of Education released a Notice of Implementation, announcing that all educational institutions receiving federal funding must provide an educational program pertaining to the United States Constitution on September 17 of each year commemorating the September 17, 1787 signing of the Constitution.

Senator Robert C. Byrd, a West Virginia Democrat and the United States Congress unofficial constitutional scholar, believes that American primary, secondary, and post-secondary students lack significant knowledge regarding the United States Constitution. In December 2004, Senator Byrd offered an amendment that was passed by both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate in attempt to increase constitutional knowledge.
