> Dantes Test Policy
Webber International University (WIU) is an approved ETS DANTES site with a recognized testing proctor. A student interested in taking a DANTES Examination must contact the Test Administrator at 863-638-2955 between the hours of 8–5, Monday through Friday, excluding university holidays.
There is a total fee of $150 for current WIU students and $200 for all others. This fee includes the DANTES test fee, all Fed Ex fees and the test administration. Upon receipt of payment the Test Administrator will order the specified test and set up a designated test time. Upon completion of the test in the specified allowable time frame, the proctor will submit the completed exam to ETS/DANTES for scoring. There are no refunds for any reason, including failing to achieve the minimum acceptable score.
ETS/DANTES will send a score report to the Administration Office at WIU and to the student in approximately 6 weeks. The administrator forwards the report to the Registrar’s Office for consideration of credit acceptance based on the American Council on Education Credit Recommendations. WIU uses the published ACE acceptable minimum score for credit approval as well as the suggested semester hour recommendations. In no event will WIU record credits in excess of its transfer or residency requirements policies.
WIU makes two exceptions to this policy. WIU considers MGT312 Human Resource Management and MGT412 Organizational Theory to be upper level courses. Since the ETS program provides these exams but considers them to be lower level, WIU does not consider these tests to be equivalent and will not record them for credit.
This official policy statement issued under the joint authority of the Registrar and the Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer on December 8th, 2006.
