Specific Openings for our Spring 2009 Schedule


BUS 350-2 BUSINESS LAW I
(Classes meet 15 Thursdays 6:30 – 9:30pm, January 8 – April 23)

A study of the basic legal framework within which a business operates. This includes general background on the importance of law, the court system and many basic legal issues related to business as incorporated in the law of torts, contracts, sales, and commercial paper. There is also a section on criminal law as it affects business.

MGT 250-3 PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT
(Classes meet 15 Tuesdays, 6:30 – 9:30pm, January 13 – April 21)

An introduction to traditional and contemporary concerns of management. The course studies the fundamentals of management theory with emphasis on mid-management problems of enterprises. It includes history of management; planning, organizing, and controlling; decision-making fundamentals; information systems; motivation, communications, and leadership; international management and social responsibilities.

MKT 250-A PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING
(Classes meet 8 Saturdays, 8:00am – 1:00pm, January 3 – February 21)

This course examines the nature and significance of marketing, its functions, and its institutions. Promotional activities studied include target marketing, the role of advertising, advertising media, distribution, pricing, product policies and the role of marketing as a productive system within our economy. Examples emphasizing the increasingly important role of ethics in the business environment will be discussed.

MKT 340-A CONSUMER BEHAVIOR
(Classes meet 8 Saturdays, 8:00am – 1:00pm, January 3 – February 21)

This course examines individual and group decision processes and purchase behavior in public, private, and non-private sectors. Modern comprehensive models provide framework for the student of: intra and interpersonal variables; the market environment; consumer research, choice and attitude, market segmentation and consumerism.

MKT 420-B INTERNATIONAL MARKETING
(Classes meet 8 Saturdays, 8:00am – 1:00pm, February 28 – April 25)

This course is the study of the procedures and problems associated with establishing marketing operations in foreign countries. Topics covered include the institutions, principles, and methods involved in the solution of multinational business problems and the effects of national differences of business practices.
