Residence Life
LOVE TO LIVE LIVE TO LEARN
START LIVING….The Residence Halls are located in close proximity to each other, and are on beautiful Crooked Lake. Thus, students can co-relate with each other easily and experience residential life to the fullest.
At WIU a community spirit grows very quickly; hence Student Life is able to encourage and nurture the individual goals of personal growth, academic success and athletic achievements.
At present WIU has two Residence Halls, Grace and Camilla Hall; the former is for male students and Camilla is for female students. Each dorm room is equipped with cable, Ethernet and a micro fridge. There is much storage space for personal items and a desk is provided for each student.
There are two new dorms under construction which are due to be completed by the end of the Fall semester, 2007. The new dorms are single occupancy with a common living space.
Laundry Facilities and Vending Machines are provided. All Residence Halls are smoke free.
Within the Residence Halls, Resident Assistants, a special group of students, are available to their fellow dorm residents to assist in any way they can.
